Our History
It all started with a hospital
La Société Française de Bienfaisance Mutuelle (The French Mutual Benevolent Society) was founded in 1851 to serve French-Americans in the San Francisco Bay Area, many of whom arrived during the gold rush and suffered great physical and financial hardship.
